What is Cherryvale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center?
 Cherryvale
Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 60
bed, licensed, skilled nursing facility, approved for
Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and private pay
residents.
Cherryvale's friendly staff of
professionals provide 24-hour skilled nursing care, as well as
speech, physical, respiratory, occupational and I.V.
therapies. (By the way - our staff also includes the birds in
our bird aviary, fish in our unit aquarium, a therapy dog and
two cats.)
Trained personnel prepare
home-cooked meals and special diets, if needed, for each
resident.
We offer a choice of 2 entrees,
1 starch, 2 vegetable, hot roll, soup or sandwich. On our
drink court we offer coffee, tea and a variety of sodas. The
salad cart has three selections daily including fresh fruit.
On the main floor residents can choose from a menu, drink and
salad cart each week day. On the unit, residents choose from a
buffet style meal or their trays brought to them.
Daily individual and group activities are available
for residents' emotional and physical well being. Every day at
Cherryvale is filled with entertainment and activity. We want
your loved one to feel at home. Our employee's feel like they
work in someone's home, not a business, because we strive for
a non-institutional environment.

 Therapy
Services
People who require rehabilitation such as physical
therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy, after
suffering a stroke or fracture in order to live
independently in the community. |

Skilled Care
People who require rehabilitation therapy and maximum
assistance with the activities of daily living.

Long Term Care
People who require assistance with the activities of daily
living, or have a condition requiring 24-hour care. |

Custodial/Respite Care
Those who require a minimum of assistance with the
activities of daily living |

Dementia Care/Alzheimer's Care Unit
This is our newest addition that offers a snoezelen room.
This type of room offers an alternative to medication
treatment for agitated behavior. The room offers a calming
environment through aroma therapy, music and low lighting
therapy.
The dementia/Alzheimer's care unit is enclosed and
secured. Our residents get to enjoy two courtyards that
offer shade and flower pots to plant in.
Activity assistants provide individualized group and
individual therapy sessions. Shopping and other outings
are included in residents' activities.
Pet therapy is also provided. |
